A pair of Spoons, London 1858, by Smith and Newton, the cast terminals formed as the company’s arms with ‘May 12 1853‘ on the reverse. The shell-shaped bowls with gilding on the inner side, the rod-like stems with a ribbon and the motto ‘Sal Sapit Omnia.‘ In original retailer’s case.
