An unusual George II silvered-brass Strawberry Dish.
A George II ‘french plated’ brass lobed Strawberry Dish, circa 1735, unmarked. The dish, which sits on three stud feet, is engraved with a contemporary coat-of-arms in a lozenge for a daughter or widow of the Bosvile family – perhaps one of the three daughters and co-heiresses of John Bosvile, rector of Ufford, Northampton, who died in 1718.
