An art deco silver-mounted glass patent Jam Pot.
A silver mounted glass Jam Pot, London 1929, marked by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths’ Company. The lid domed into triangular panels, the interior lid hinging mechanism struck with patent numver 5518.
This jam pot appears in the later catalogues of Hukin and Heath Ltd. as pattern number ’27’ and it is evident that this pot was manufactured by Hukin and Heath for the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths’ Company. [See article on Hukin and Heath on the Research tab of this website].
