An 18th century French silver Wine Taster from Trevoux.
An 18th century French provincial silver Wine Taster, marked four times, maker’s mark only, by Dominique Chantel, of Trevoux, circa 1776. The taster has a double serpent’s head ring handle, with fluted decoration and punch bead grape decoration, and is engraved ‘Antoine Movseron, 1776‘.
Dominique Chantel entered his mark in 1759 and died in 1788.
