A Victorian silver Spool holder or Wool Winder, Birmingham 1876, by Levi and Salaman [their mark is struck incuse]. Engraved also with a design registration lozenge and struck with the retailer’s mark of MacKay and Chisholm of Edinburgh.
The cross-bar is made of steel.
