A Victorian silver Toastrack.
A substantial Victorian silver Toastrack, the base decorated with a pattern of rural cottages within a shell and scrollwork border, the feet cast with a man holding a beer mug, in the manner of Teniers, and the seven divisions formed as branches. Struck with hallmarks for London 1870, by Hunt and Roskell and struck underneath the central bar with the retailers’ name ‘Hunt and Roskell, late Storr and Mortimer.’
