A Victorian silver-gilt Prize for Penmanship, in the form of a quill, London, circa 1857, by Rawlings and Summers. Engraved on the spine ‘The Governors of Christ’s Hospital to Alfred Augustus Wheeler for Eminence in Penmanship the Prize 27 May 1857.’

Good. The original exterior case with lid apart from base, the pen tip of the quill slightly bent, the date letter poorly struck and illegible.
