A Victorian silver combined Vesta Case and Travelling Light for a carriage.
A small Victorian silver combined Travelling Candleholder and Vesta case, London 1879, by Wright and Davies. The longer tube has a sprung holder for the narrow candle, with a striker between the two tubes, the smaller tube being for matches. Hinged spikes allow the holder to be attached to the interior of a carriage. Engraved on the front with owner’s initials ‘A.P’
