A Victorian novelty silver Table Vesta or Match Case for the Indian market.
An unusual Victorian silver Table Vesta Case formed as a palanquin, with silver-gilt interior, London 1886, by Jane Brownett. The case is engraved also with a retailer’s name ‘Hamilton & Co. Calcutta‘, Also struck with a Registered design number 84311.

Condition:
Good – one leg has a very slight wobble. Minor distortion to the edge of the lid.
