A Victorian novelty silver Pepper pot by Henry William Dee.
A Victorian silver novelty Pepper Pot with weighted rocking base, London 1875, by Henry William Dee, in the form of an oriental ‘Oni-like’ head.
The Dee brothers, working in silver and bronze, like the Martin brothers a few decades later, who worked in pottery, made a number of articles based around caricature or gargoyle-like faces.
