A Victorian novelty silver combined Sewing Etui and Vinaigrette, in the form of a Railway Lantern, London 1876, Sampson Mordan. The interior with spool for thread, tape measure, needle holder, pin holder, and thimble. The central part of the lantern rotates to reveal green, red, and plain silver through the bull’s eye glass lense. The base of the lantern opens to reveal a vinaigrette with lift-out grille. The hook of the lantern with design registration lozenge.

Good overall. Some surface scratching to the exterior and slight wear to the gilded interior.
