A small enamel Portrait in a modern gilt frame, circa 1855, the back of the image enamelled ‘Herbert Cummings Simpson Aged 4, June 1855.’ Herbert Cummings Simpson was probably the son of the miniaturist John Simpson who worked 1811- circa 1871.
