A 20th century silver Mug, the body textured like rough cast concrete, the handle inset with a small square stone, London 1965. The interior of the mug is gilt and the exterior surface of the handle is engraved ‘LR from LR 1965‘, probably as a gift from Leslie Runciman, 2nd Viscount Runciman, to his grand-daughter, Lisa Runciman, born 18th of August 1965.
Guy Watson studied at the Royal Academy of Arts. He is better known as a maker of Jewellery, often with texturing in a ‘Brutalist’ manner, working in Harrogate.
