A silver mounted glass Jam Jar, London 1905, with original Spoon by the same, Birmingham 1906. The lid is opened by tilting the handle with the patent mechanism registered by this firm, 5518. The interior of the lid is also struck with the pattern number 13643.
The Hukin and Heath Catalogue refers to this size of Preserve Stand , 2.75 inches high [the jar excluding the handle] and to a larger size 3.75 inches high. It says ‘spoons included except where otherwise stated.’

Condition:

Good overall. Some denting to the interior and exterior of one side of the handle, some surface abrasion to the glass, some knocks to the interior lid opener.

Height – 12 cm. at top of handle; Diameter – 6.50 cm.; Weight – 234.30 gms.
