A small glass Decanter or Liqueur Jug with spiral fluting mounted with a hinged silver lid, London 1890. The lid engraved with an owner’s script initial ‘S’. Struck also on the underside of the lid ‘8’.
The pattern number for this Jug is unknown. Hukin and Heath supplied a number of pieces of silver mounted glass with spiral fluting from the 1880’s onwards. The general shape of the jug corresponds to the pattern numbers 7100 to 7105, which were supplied in three sizes.

Good with light markings to the glass.
