Reynell Oswald Huyshe was the stepbrother of George Hart, who ran the Guild of Handicrafts from 1902. Huyshe joined the guild and started learning silversmithing in 1912, but, he joined up in 1914 and did not return until 1919. Huyshe then was in partnership with Hart at the Guild until 1928, when he left to teach at Gravesend Art School. He remained until his death in 1939, aged 44.
