A Victorian novelty silver Pepper Pot in the form of a medieval Knight in full armour wielding a spiked mace, London 1880, by Louis Dee. The visor hinges to enable the pot to be filled. The interior and parts of the exterior are gilded.
The firm of Dee [Louis and Henry William] produced perhaps the finest quality novelty silver in London in the 19th century.
