A rare George III silver Presentation Plaque.

A George III silver presentation Plaque, Phipps and Robinson, London circa 1786, engraved with an angel blowing a horn beside the inscription ‘Success to Brodies Manufactory’, the centre further engraved with a monogram ‘R.L’ in script for Rolls Liberty, between 3 legal scrolls, below with ‘The Gift of the Rolls Liberty Inhabitants for extinguishing the fire on 24th June 1786 in Symonds Inn. The reverse of the plaque engraved ‘John Parkis, Samuel Osman, Overseers 1786.’ 4.75″ wide.
