A pair of George III silver Wine Labels, engraved for ‘Port’ and ‘Madeira’, Birmingham 1816, by Matthew Linwood, each shaped with a blank cartouche above the title and edged with a band of bright-cut engraving with vine and grapes either side of the titles.
Good. Crisp engraving. Made from light sheet silver. A slight circular mark on the reverse of one label where an owners’ ticket has been removed.
