A pair of George III Ice Cream Serving Spades for Baron Stewart.
A pair of George III silver-gilt Ice Cream Serving Spades, London 1816, by William Eley and William Fearn. The servers are engraved with the crest and coronet of Charles William Stewart, 1778-1854, created Baron Stewart of Stewart’s Court and Ballylawn in 1814. He was subsequently Earl Vane and the 3rd Marquis of Londonderry. The family seat of Mount Stewart is now a National Trust property.
