A late Victorian silver mounted glass Claret wine Jug, Birmingham 1895 by Norton and White. The slender body, with narrow neck, is clearly inspired by classical forms and is ornamented with horizontal ridged decoration on the neck and upper shoulder of the glass. The interior of the lid is inset with cork.
