A late Victorian patent Scarf Clip, ‘The Orion‘, Birmingham 1893, F.A. Walton. Stamped also ‘Walton’s Patent.’
Walton, who registered his mark in 1892, specialised in patent Scarf Clips in silver, white metal and gold. Most are unhallmarked.
