A late 17th century silver-gilt handled English Knife and Fork set.
A silver-gilt ‘Cartridge handled’ Knife and Fork, maker’s mark only, ‘IC’ in a heart, London circa 1690. Traces of a cutler’s mark on the steel knife blade.

Condition:
Good overall with minor wear to gilding and some rust corrosion marking to the steel.

Length of the knife – 17.40 cm, length of the fork- 14.60 cm.; the width of the knife – 1.50 cm.; the width of the fork – 1.60 cm.; the weight of the two pieces – 55.40 gms.
