A large Victorian silver Sewing Egg, London 1877, by Henry William Dee, engraved also with the retailer’s name, ‘W.J. Thomas, Old Bond St., London.‘ The lid hinges with a push-button catch to reveal a container for needles, pins, a reel for cottons and an unmarked thimble. The interior gilt.

Good overall. Minor marking to the external surface. Some abrasion to the interior surface of the lid.
