A good pair of George IV silver Skewers.
A substantial pair of old English thread pattern silver Skewers, London 1824, William, Charles and Henry Eley, engraved with the Royal crest within the garter motto.
Provenance: sold by the United Kingdom Treasury, Bonhams Auctioneers, 30/10/2001, lot 185.
The skewers will have been provided for ambassadorial use rather than for the Royal Household.

Very good. Some light wear to one armorial. One maker’s mark less clear than the other.
