A good pair of Art Deco Wine Labels.
A pair of art deco silver and enamel Wine Labels for ‘Sherry’ and ‘Brandy’, Birmingham 1939, by Turner and Simpson. These makers seem to have made a speciality of producing enamel labels in the art deco style. Surviving examples of this period have become scarce.
Good overall with some surface marks to the reverse. A minute chip to the corner of the black enamel on one label and a scuff graze to the white enamel on the other label.
Length – 4 cm.; Width – 2.50 cm.; Weight [of the two] – 33.40 gms.
