A George IV silver School Prize.
A George IV silver School Prize for Latin, London 1828, by Mary Ann and Charles Reilly, engraved on one side ‘Multa Cum Laude Corona’ and on the reverse ‘Osvaldo C. Jones Linguam Latinam assidue colenti hoc Praemium adjuducavit Praeceptor J.M. Scott’.
Oswald Croxon Jones was born in Lambeth in 1814. He was articled as a solicitor to William Eccles in 1829. Living at Myddelton Cottage, Enfield in 1858, he died in 1860 in Herne Hill.
