A George III silver ‘Turkish’ Coffee Pot.
A George III spiral-decorated lidded silver Jug, for Turkish Coffee or Hot Water, London 1760, by Parker and Wakelin. Engraved with a contemporary coat-of-arms [the female side being perhaps Whitwick]. The handle with [replaced ] wickering. Engraved under the foot with a scratch weight: 18=14. Such pots are usually described in 18th century archives as ‘Turkey Coffee Pots‘.

Condition:
Good. Some tiny bruising on the bellied surface. The handle re-wickered.
