A good George III silver bright-cut Wine Goblet, with gilt interior, engraved as a prize for Literature for James Currey.
Currey, born 1769, the son of the Revd. John Currey of Dartford in Kent, was admitted to Emmanuel College in 1787 but moved to Corpus Christi in 1788. He was awarded a degree as Bachelor of Arts in 1791 and M.A. in 1794. He became a Fellow of the college in 1793 and was subsequently Rector of Stretham in Cambridgeshire. He died in 1823.
