A George II Waiter
A George II Waiter, set on three pad feet with ‘Chipendale’ border and a flat-chased border within the plate containing scrollwork and alternating lozenges and shells, London 1734, Francis Pages. The centre engraved with a contemporary crest for the family of Vaughan. The underside is engraved with slightly later initials ‘F.C’
Pages was an apprentice of David Willaume and produced a range of good quality large wares.
