A 20th century silver Teaset of unusual design.
£2,050.00
A small three piece silver Teaset of unusual modernist design, London 1906, marked by Plante and Bannister, also struck incuse with that retailer’s name. Each piece engraved with a contemporary crest.
The Sheffield silversmiths, Lee and Wigfull, produced a number of small items [jugs and egg cups] in this pattern in the years 1906-1908. A single sauceboat, by Lee and Wigfull, marked for 1906, is clearly by the same designer. [See the website of the firm of Leopard antiques].
