A French silver Thimble and needle case, circa 1870, copying a 17th century form, struck with a maker’s mark – ‘HD’ in a lozenge and the guarantee mark for .800 standard silver. Gilt interior.

Condition:
Good. Very minor wear to the gilding. The steel catch for the lid slightly bent back. The lid closes well.
