A 16th century Exeter silver ‘Lion Sejant’ Spoon

A fine 16th century Lion Sejant silver Spoon, circa 1580, Exeter, by Richard Osborne I, died 1607.
The spoon is struck with Osborne’s second mark, as recorded by Timothy Kent, ‘West Country Silver Spoons and their Makers 1550-1750.’

Condition:

A good and honest spoon with some old surface corrosion marks. The finial retains original gilding. Clear maker’s mark and Exeter town mark.
