A pair of large George III silver Shoe Buckles with steel chapes, Exeter circa 1790, by Richard Ferris. The silver is ornamented with flower-centered panels of scrollwork and bordered with a broad feather edging in a style that would have been fasionable in London some twenty or thirty years earlier.

Condition:
Generally good but with some rusting to the steel chapes and some wear to the silver high points.
